Students Achievements
Judy's Guitar Lesson provides a learning platform which nurtures students to be well-rounded guitarists in terms of musicianship. Through weekly guidance, class and notes, our students can grasp performance, music theory, ear training and improvisation skills. We believe that with enough practice, resources and discipline, our students can achieve their goals in their music journey.
Student 1
Achieved two times distinction results from Rockschool acoustic guitar exam
He studied acoustic guitar with me for around 2 years. He achieved distinction results from both his Grade 2 and Grade 5 in the guitar exam in 2021 and 2022 respectively. He is a fan of K Pop and soft rock music.
Examiner’s Comments
The presentation began with the Technical Exercises, which were clearly well known and prepared. There was consistently clear production of sound and even tone quality throughout. The pieces began with Put Your Records On, with an understanding of musical structure shown all of the time. Tears In Heaven and Blackbird followed in a very similar vein, with secure physical techniques and a clearly developing sense of stylistic awareness. With regard to ‘Areas to Improve’, there really wasn’t a huge amount upon which to comment today – any small slips or anomalies are bound to be ironed out with the candidate’s engagement with the materials associated with higher grades to come.A very confident overall presentation, leading to a well deserved Distinction mark. Well done!

Became an awarded recording lead guitarist
He studied electric guitar with me for around 3 years. He released his original music album and EP with his band, Control Shift Freak in 2021 and 2022. He shows his passion for shredding guitar soloing techniques and excellent musicianship in creating melodic guitar solos. His band is the winner of Battle of Bands in 2023. He is a fan of Nu-Metal and Grunge music.
His band won the winner of Best Act in The Hong Kong Interschool BATTLE OF THE BANDS
